Ugandan officials capture man-eating crocodile in Lake Victoria

The creature is believed to be about 80 years old.
The reptile is suspected of eating six people in the Jinja and Mayuge districts of Uganda, including the latest victim who left behind a wife and two children, according to News Vision, an Ugandan newspaper.
The victim was mauled two weeks ago while fishing near Kakira. The villagers found his tattered clothes floating on the water.
The attacks curbed fishing along the shore out of fear, the newspaper reported.
The residents requested the Authority capture the crocodile after the last attack. Their game wardens used meat on a hook to catch it.

More than 100 people on the shore and on their own boats watched wardens bring the captured crocodile to shore.
The croc was hauled onto a flatbed truck by wardens and a cloth placed over its eyes.
The bravest of onlookers touched the crocodile as it was tied down with a rope, photos show.
The crocodile was taken to a new home in the Murchison Falls National Park, which is connected to Lake Albert and the Nile River. The park is more than 200 miles north of the beast's point of capture.
